Brand creation, naming, visual identity
Blockino is a screen-free programming game designed for children with visual impairments. Players assemble real, tactile blocks, geometric shapes that connect together, to build a program that a robot then executes live.
It's an innovative game that introduces children to coding without the need for a screen, an inclusive game that relies on touch, and an educational tool that fosters logic and creativity.
The name
A mix of "blocks" and "innovation," Blockino has an open "-o" sound that evokes warmth and friendliness. In German, "Kino" means cinema ; the child becomes both the actor (through block assembly) and the spectator (as the robot brings the program to life).
The logo
The B from Block and the K from Kino are built from identical triangular blocks. The only difference: the final triangle is flipped to form the K, symbolizing transformation through interaction.
